Wide Receiver Review

We kickoff our best wide receiver rankings list 2023 with Ja’Marr Chase taking the top spot from Justin Jefferson.

If Chase played all of 2022 and kept his average of 11 targets per game, he’d finish with 187 targets– which is three more than Jefferson had last season.

Moreover, Joe Burrow will target Chase early and often, giving him the chance to break the receiving record.

Our biggest surprise when doing these rankings was how high we had Stefon Diggs. His offseason turmoil with the Bills was highlighted to no end this summer. But Diggs, Josh Allen and the Buffalo braintrust have moved on and are solely focused on the season ahead.

Because of Diggs’s supreme route running and his connection with quarterback Josh Allen we couldn’t move him past third on our list.

In addition to Diggs previous outstanding characteristics, he was targeted 154 times last season while being very consistent week-in-and-week-out.

Closing out our top ten with Garrett Wilson (8), Tyreek Hill (9) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (10) was a mix of three different players. And depending on how your team is constructed, each will fit fine.

Having Garret Wilson ranked so high is based upon what he accomplished last season with inconsistent quarterback play.

He finished with 1,103 yards-receiving and added four touchdowns while being targeted 147 times as a rookie.

By adding Aaron Rodgers this offseason, the Jets have upgraded the position thus adding value to the wide receiver room.

Tyreek Hill has huge games, but lacks every week consistency. He’s coming off a great season, so look for a small correction in the stat department.

St. Brown is coming into his own in Detroit. He’s the first standout receiver in the “motor city” since Calvin Johnson.
