Tight End Review

Once again Travis Kelce leads our best fantasy tight ends rankings 2023. His chemistry with Patrick Mahomes in an Andy Reid led offense is unmatched. And his ability to run receiving routes in an extra large body makes him a matchup nightmare– he’s Gronk-like!

Other tight ends in consideration for the top spot are as follows: T.J. Hockenson, Mark Andrews, Kyle Pitts and George Kittle. Each of these players have circumstance’s that will effect their fantasy outcome in 2023..

Since switching team’s from the Detroit Lions to the Minnesota Vikings Hockenson is averaging an extra target per game. And although that seems insignificant, it’s 17 more targets over a full season from a quarterback in Kirk Cousins who is developing a nice relationship with his newest weapon.

Next on our list of outstanding tight ends is Mark Andrews. His consistency through the years allows us to overlook his brilliance at the position. Now that old (run first) offensive coordinator Greg Roman is out and (sling it) OC Todd Monkey is in, expect Lamar Jackson to throw early and often. Even though Jackson has more mouths to feed, I expect he’ll feed his favorite in Andrews.

In our fourth slot for best fantasy tight end rankings is Kyle Pitts. Although Kyle Pitts has underperformed since entering the league, he is worth taking a chance on his upside.

We are loading the bandwagon’s now for the breakout season Pitts will give us in 2023. Don’t be late to the “Pitts Party,” we told you to come!

And the last of our tight end commentary ends with George Kittle. We love Kittle, but the 49ers don’t have a clear-cut leader in-the-huddle at the time of this writing.

His talent is unquestionable and his football acumen allows him forever field status, but the clarity at the quarterback position remains the greatest question.

Once the all powerful Wizard of Oz (Kyle Shanahan) reveals his starter, we’ll better assume Kittle’s outcome..
